CableCom Electrical & CTS were employed as the Mechanical & Electrical Contractors for Glencairn Developments and has delivered the former State Cinema refurbishment on Great Junction Street. 

The development changed the 1930’s art deco cinema into 38 apartments on the Water of Leith.

The works included the retention and refurbishment of the existing Grade B listed foyer building and demolish the warehouse block to the rear creating 38 apartments. The new 5-storey residential building is grouped around a south facing courtyard with ribbon balconies along the Water of Leith.

The development is respectful of the existing architectural style whilst the new extension has been designed and installed with a positive contemporary approach and quality materials.
